NGΣ sold 400,000. That's very good for a game that had already been released 2 times.
I was talking to a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago. I was saying that there was a difference between the average Xbox user and the average PS3 user that made the PS3 user more partial to the "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU WITH MY SWORD" type of action game. Whereas, the average 360 user prefers the "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU WITH MY GUN" type of action game.

I wonder just how many of the problems they are going to fix. It depends on what their vision is.
With just a very little bit of work they can fix the story. They have an extra playable character. By doing a little bit of voice-work and rendering 6 or 7 cutscenes they can make an entirely new campaign with Ayane using the exact same enemies, locations, weapons and other assets. To do this they only need to partition the game into two halves Resident Evil 2-style.
Having Ayane as a playable character on the PS3 version is a big deal. Rachel was not really a full-fledged member of the Team Ninja/DOA family. Moreover, Rachel was slow so it was easy for the Xbox fans to dismiss her. However, Team Ninja always makes their ninja rock. Play any DOA if you don't already know what I mean. Anyone who is a fan of Ninja Gaiden, or DOA, will be forced to respect her ability.

I had kinda hoped that they would take the PS3 version on a different direction starting with the tangent from NG:Sigma. I am still going to buy it though.

Epic owns Gears of War. They could put it on PS3 or Wii or PS3 tommorrow if they wanted to. They probably won't, but they could.
Under George W. It wasn't dumb at all for Microsoft. Even if the Square-Enix titles released on 360 don't sell, paying SE to develop so many games for 360 kept SE from spending all their time developing for PS3. So from Microsoft's point of view this move had defensive AND offensive properties.
These actions from Microsoft are probably why the 360 will get FF13. When this generation started the plan was for PS3 to get 2 exclusive FF13 games, now PS3 will just get one, FFv13

I haven't played all shooters, but I have played Gears, and I have played Uncharted. I can say that Uncharted has a better cover mechanic than Gears of War.
But then, Uncharted does not have online play.

I played the first board of the campaign and about 10 minutes of the 2nd board. Then I tried the multi-player and I haven't been back to the campaign since. The multi-player is THAT good.

Last I heard, Sony owns the rights to Final Fantasy 7. So the only reason it would not be a PS3 exclusive is if they decided to put it on PSP instead.
And that's why I love it. The Gears of War chainsaw is nothing, NOTHING, compared to what Kratos does to almost every enemy. Kratos picks up human sized enemies and tears, not cuts, tears them into two pieces.
The second cut scene of the first game depicts Aries' monster/soldiers killing a room full of women. You get there just in time to see them pulling their blades out.

I think it will. Guerilla has set up a very robust support system for KZ2. There is an extensive clan system, online stat publishing, sponsored clan tournaments, unsponsored clan challenge system, worldwide ranking for clans and individuals, etc.

Why did a Microsoft review of Killzone even approved? There is a conflict of interest here so big that it makes the review unreasonable. It is a joke pure a simple.
I play a little Halo, and watch my friends play a little Halo, and they hear racial slurs all the time. So much so that it doesn't even offend them any more. They simply return the insults. It doesn't even affect their game anymore.
Sigma sold about 400,000 on the PS3, and NG2 sold about 1,000,000 on the 360. Sigma was released in July 2007 when the PS3 userbase was still under 10 million. Since NG2 was an original game on a platform with three times the users that Sigma had with it was released, NG2 should have done better than that.
